Donald Farmer's SHARK EXORCIST Enough said !!

Demon Queen , Cannibal Hookers , Scream Dreams ,Dorm Of The Dead , Chainsaw Cheerleaders;  No this is not a list of my weekend activities my dears this is a filmography of one of SOV/low budget horrors most accomplished directors, Mr. Donald Farmer. Mr. Farmer burst onto the SOV scene in 1987 with his truly lurid tale of succubus consumption Demon Queen, one of the first of it's kind to gain worldwide distribution, and a damn good time to boot.

Mr. Farmer shows no signs of slowing down either as it appears he has a new film set to be released later in 2012 that is currently in post production, Shark Exorcist !! If the title alone doesn't warm the heart of every single gore hound and trash guru alike then jiggle your bits to some of the early scenes that Mr. Farmer has released thus far. If anyone can give me a solid idea of what this little diddy might be about I will personally come to your house and eat your ass for like 3 whole hours. From what I can gather this looks to be in the grand tradition of many of Mr. Farmers films, just a gonzo balls to the wall collection of excess that flows to it's own tune. Check out the clips, and ENOY!!

Demonica's Holiday Hit List

Happy Holidays my little cock gobblers ,  we are once again at that time of year when we can all put our issues to rest, pick up the bottle, and fuck. Nothing warms this simple country girl's loins more then some good ole' fashioned holiday trash and slash flicks,oh and spiked egg nog. Below you can wallow in the filth that is my annual must see list of holiday trash. Some films may be omitted that are considered genre holiday classics but they lack that spark of smut that really yanks my cherry loose, so fucking deal with it. ENJOY!

1.)   I am going to get A LOT of shit for this one, but what can I say ? I just prefer
the Glen Morgan 2006 remake of Black X-Mas to Bob Clark's original 1974 film. There is no denying that Bob Clark's film is a masterpiece of suspense and has laid the template for millions upon millions of films after it , it's just not nasty enough for this old cow ( drunk Margot Kidder  aside). Glen Morgan accomplished what many have set out to do with his reworking of this holiday slasher favorite , a remake that paid tribute to the original but also decided to go down it's own path, and what a glorious path it is. Black X-Mas 2006 has the balls to pack a lot of nasty shit into it's 94min run time.

We are given the usual set up , beautiful girls at a sorority on Christmas receive nasty phone calls from an unknown source. Girl's freak out , drink , fight , and are murdered in various and sometimes very inspired fashion. Nothing new here. It is the back story given the central villain that had my panties all tangled up in anticipation. Check it. In the 70's , young Billy is born with a liver disease that causes his skin to cast a yellow pigment and  his mother rejects him as a son for most of his childhood. Some of the best dialogue ensues:

Young Billy : Mommy when do you think Santa will be here ?

Fucked Up Mother:  Santa was shot down by the Marines, Santa is DEAD!

HAHA! Now that may not be verbatim what is said, but you get the picture. Later Billy witnesses his Father's brutal murder by his mother and her new boyfriend, and is locked in the attic alone for his entire childhood. One Christmas Eve new daddy seems to have whisky dick from sippin on the holiday sauce a little too much , and dammit Mama wants to FUCK! , so naturally she crawls into the attic and straddles her 13 year old son like a cowboy riding bareback. 9 months later baby girl Agnes is born. During Christmas , Billy escapes his imprisonment and brutally kills his Mother and Stepfather, using his mother's skin as the basis for some Christmas cookies that he eagerly munches on as he is hauled off to a mental institution. I'm sure you can surmise what happens several years later on Christmas eve, right ?

Glen Morgan has crafted a film that stands head and shoulders above most modern horror films in sheer audacity alone , i.e. incest , cannibalism , an obsession with eyeball removal, add to the mix a genuine mood of holiday festivities. VOILA. Trashy , nasty , and oh sooooooooo good. Kind of like a Christmas cookie, EAT IT UP!

                                               MOMMY DEAREST

2.) The most well known of the holiday slasher flick is still one of the sleaziest and deranged of the lot. Silent Night , Deadly Night was one of the most controversial films of the 1980's because the killer is dressed as Santa and is featured with an ax on prominently on the ads and posters. Those nasty old cunts at the PTA fought to have the film yanked from it's
initial release, and was seriously shit on by all major critics:

Silent Night, Deadly Night is actually a very well done and sleazy little Christmas treat that lives up to the hype that surrounds it , for once. We have the story of Billy a very normal young boy who takes a trip to visit one of the creepiest grandparents in screen history one Christmas eve. While Billy's parents are out of the room Grandpa treats him to his version of the myth of Santa Claus, lets just say the outcome is less than pleasant for the young lad. On the way home that evening Billy and his family are attacked by a maniac dressed as jolly old St. Nick , as Billy watches from a ditch in horror his mother is sexually assaulted by the crazed man.
Needless to say, this event causes the young lad a bit of stress over the years, his fear
of Santa and obsession with punishment is further fueled by a sadistic nun at the orphange\
he now calls home. When Billy reaches the age of 21 he accepts a job in a local department
store as a stock boy and is eventually forced to don the Santa outfit as a favor to his boss. On Christmas eve Billy comes upon one of his female co workers being raped which stirs up long dormant visions of his mother's assault and murder, sending our young Billy into a frenzy of slaughter and holiday madness.

Silent Night, Deadly Night is a film which has stood the test of time, not only is it an effective slice of slasher entertainment , it also includes enough gore and sleazy moments to satisfy the sick fucks  in us all. Who can forget the sight of a naked woman speared on a set o deer antlers on the wall ? A child beheaded by a sled ? Check , and check. Yes my babies this one has it all. Add to the mix  an uncomfortable sexual/religious angle that really hits the catholic church right in the balls. BAM !!You have one of the best ( if not the best) holiday themed slasher films around.

3.) Where to begin ? Elves is pretty much where it all started for me folks. Rated PG-13 by a very confused MPAA , Elves was given to me at a very tender ( i.e. perfect) age. All the Christmas smut begins when teenager Kristen slices her hand on a piece of glass during an " Anti Christmas ( dyke feminist) ritual " deep in the woods, her blood awakens an evil Nazi Christmas elf. The elf is the main character in a modern day plot to bring about the master race that dear old Hitler always dreamed of. Our dear heroin is also a very important piece in the puzzle as she is the last remaining in a pure blood Aryan race. How you may ask ? Well you see Kristen's Grandfather fucked her mother ( his daughter) to ensure that the bloodline stay pure and un tainted.  Man , that's what I call dedication to the cause.

If this all sounds more than a little fucked up and wrong, it is , the rest of the film continues on a dizzy spiral of smut and sleaze until it comes screaming to a hideously joyous conclusion. Wanna see a department store Santa get his balls hacked off by an evil Nazi elf ? DONE ! Want to see a loving mother drown the family house cat in a toilet as a form of punishment ? Here it is. Haven't you always wanted to see a 13 year old boy peep on his sister in the shower and refer to her as having " big fucking tits " ? You got it honey.

Throw in Grizzly Adams himself ( Dan Haggerty ) slumming it up as an ex alcoholic cop turned department store Santa , and a generous helping of tits and gore. VOILA !! A holiday tradition is born. Elves is truly gonzo low budget entertainment that is sure to warm your stocking this holiday season. SEE IT !!!!!

4.) Holiday creepers don't get much better than this my babies. There isn't alot that can be said about this flick that isn't painfully obvious from the front cover. Serial killer is transformed into a giant killer snowman when his prison bus collides with a truck carrying toxic chemicals. Serial killer returns to the town that he was arrested in to exact bloody revenge against the sheriff that put him away. Simple story , BRILLIANT execution. British playwright turned director Michael Cooney ( writer of the John Cusack shocker Identity ) has a ball with his low budget , using his limited means to maximum effect. It really is hard to describe just how giddy this little stocking stuffer makes me feel , so below I have created a list of highlights from the film.

1.) You get to see Shannon Elizabeth ( American Pie ) early in her career carrot raped by a giant horny killer snowman!

2.) The snow appear to be of the Styrofoam variety rather than that of water.

3.) It is suppose to be a hellacious winter in the film , however you never see any breath escape the actors mouths. Wind howls in the background but doesn't seem to move anything onscreen

4.) A snowman with no legs seems to be able to operate a motor vehicle with both ease and accuracy.

5.) It is definitely safe for anyone to roll around in a giant vat of anti freeze for long periods of time without any harm coming to them.

All in all it's best to experience the sheer genius behind this holiday classic first hand than read about it from some doped up old cow like me. Grab the kiddies and some anti freeze and have a fucking ball this holiday season.

                                      Christmas Porn!!!

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

A fun and gory little holiday slasher that adds it's own little spin on the classic tale of " pinnochio". Written by
horror favs Brian Yuzna ( Re-animator series) and Michael Kitrosser (  Friday The 13th part 3) Silent Night Deadly Night 5: The Toymaker features ample amounts of gore and sex for all you sickos out there, it also features a sleazy performance by Mickey Rooney ( who protested the first film......... hmmmmmm ? )

This 1991 low budget effort from writers/directors Paul Talbot and Willam Cooke features Gunnar Hansen as a grizzled old drifter who tells four creepy tales to a group of teens deep in the woods. One of the tales involves a douche bag yuppie who is visited by a monstrous Santa " Satan Claus" The film is energetic and fun and puts a nasty spin on the classic tale of " jolly old St. Nick".

Well there you have it folks from my cold dark little heart to yours , HAPPY FUCKING HOLIDAYS.  Strap it on , grab that favorite cidar and ENJOY.

Slaughter Claus Is Coming To Town !!!!

I for one am a HUGE fan of sleazy and violent holiday entertainment , nothing puts me in the Christmas
spirit more than a good dose of murder, chaos, and a little full frontal nudity. Indie director Charles E. Cullen must have read my wish list this year ,  his new film Slaughter Claus seems to be exactly that. Mr. Cullen's new film looks like a violent and very un PC bundle of holiday brutality that hark ens back to the good old days of SOV horror , when it was fun and fucked up. Below you can beat your meat to a gloriouss trailer and plot synopsis. Look for my official list of holiday sleaze classics coming soon. ENJOY!

" Once upon a time, Santa went nuts...You better watch out...literally, because Slaughter Claus and his Bi-Polar elf are coming to town. Your town! And they're up to no good. WOW! It's a whole new kind of Santa ,but this one doesn't want milk and cookies. He wants your BLOOD!!! "

A Delicate Romance That Shatters All Boundaries NEKROMANTIK REVIEW

, i

Nothing annoys me more then when someone tries to tell me they have a love for hardcore or obscure cinema and the most unusual film they can cite is The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I'm not trying to be a stuck up cunt or view myself as above people who cherish and love RHPS , it is indeed a grand little film in it's own right and has no doubt paved the way for much more obscure things to be embraced by the masses. RHPS  is , however , as mainstream as you can get when discussing underground or cult films, so it just kind of irks me that it has become the staple and poster child that many run to as a reference.

Jorg Buttgereit' Nekromantik is the true poster child for hardcore cinema , leaving all other forms of trash and art house cinema shivering in it's shadow and grasping to gain the kind of notoriety that it's sick little mind so effortlessly achieves. My dear readers it should go without saying that I have been witness to some of the true atrocities that the cinema gods have unleashed before me but nothing , and I mean NOTHING , was able to prepare me for the cinematic assault that was Nekromantik.

German's have always had that certain knack of creating films that tend to be somewhat heavy handed when it comes to symbolism and hidden message. Be it with striking visuals ala Fritz Lang's Metroplois or with quiet shots of scenery used to tell the narrative story ala Werner Herzog's glorious documentaries , German's have always been ahead of the game when it comes to abstract storytelling in motion pictures. Jorg Buttgereit is no exception to the rule when it comes to German expressionistic cinema , yes at it's core Nekromantik is the story of a man , a woman , and the corpse they fuck. Mr. Buttgereit , however, uses simple placement of objects and abstract silent images to tell what is ultimately the story of longing and loss and what it means for a man to come to terms with the separation of a lost love and the eventual downfall into despair over the inadequacies of manhood.

Nekromantik tells the tale of Rob ( Daktari Lorenz ) an everyman who work's for a streetcleaning agency that specializes in the removal of human remains after fatal automobile accidents. Rob's long time girlfriend Betty ( Beatrice Manowiski ) stays at home all day living off Rob's income and reading books in their fenced in living room area. Rob's job seems to work out famously for the couple since they have the delightful hobby of collecting body parts , and storing them in various containers around the apartment. One day , Rob brings home the slimy decomposed corpse of a shooting victim he has dug out of the swamp. Rob and Betty embark on a lustful spree of epic proportions with their new found playmate. They fuck the shit out of this corpse in some very unique and inventive ways. Rob eventually returns to work and is let go from his position due to excessive tardiness. Rob goes home to tell Betty what has just went down , instead he comes upon a vacant house, and a brief  " Dear John" letter. Yes, Betty and the corpse are madly in love and have taken off together  in hopes of starting a better life.

Rob is , of course , devastated over his wife's departure and plunges into a life of pure decadence which includes but is not limited to; the mutilation of prostitutes, vicious cat murder , and long hot baths with said cat blood in attendance. Rob inevitably cannot find the happiness that plauges him so and resorts to one of the most disgusting and memorable on screen mutilations ever put to celluloid.

The acting is top notch. The world that we are plunged into is one of utter despair and depravity , disgust and tenderness , and both Lorenz and Manowiski are able to handle their sick characters with ease and grace. It can't be easy to suck on a corpse eyball with such affection , but it is done here flawlessly . Once Betty leaves Rob he is thrust into a world of emotional breakdown and insanity and Lorenz handles this transition from loving corpse fucker to crazed sex killer with a steady understanding for the madness behind it all without going overboard. All in all my panties where very wet and my handes alway busy , good show ladies and gentlemen.

The movie is FUCKIN SICK , make no mistake about that. Jorg Buttgereit has a knack of creating visually repulsive worlds that are disgusting and at the same time artistic in content. The film itself is surrounded with an almost death obsessed poetry that resonates and oozes out every frame, shit is bleak. The cinematography is grainy and washed out which gives the film a voyueristic angle. When Rob and Betty take the corpse for a spin in the first romantic encounter ,it's as if you are right next to them. The gorgeous piano score created by Lorenz himself as well as John Boy Walton, helps emphasis the death is everywhere vibe of the proceedings.

In the end , it is up to you as a viewer to decide what you take away from Mr. Buttgereit self described piece of "corpse fucking art ". Some may be offended by the scenes of genital mutilation , necrophilia ,and animal mutilatoion; others may be turned on. However , there is no denying that Nekromantik is a true piece of undergrounde genere filmaking at it's most dark and dangerous , beautiful and raw. It's arthouse poetry for the sick fucker in us all.

Uwel Boll to Unleash A Massacre And It Looks Kinda Fuckin Kick Ass

Hello My babies , it's your gorgeous angel Demonica Vansant here with some news that comes to us straight from those sexy fuckser over at Dread Central. It seems as if prolific and some may say craptastic director Uwe Boll has a new film that he is about to unleash upon the masses. The film is titled ZOMBIE MASSACRE , and to be perfectly honest from what I've seen it looks kind of kick ass.
Below you can salivate to the trailer , plot synopsis and a fun new poster.  Enjoy motherfuckers!

A bacteriological weapon – developed by the US Government to create a super soldier – spreads an epidemic in a quiet little town in the middle of Eastern Europe, Roznov. All citiziens have been turned into infected zombies. The town is in quarantine, but the Government wants to destroy it to avoid the propagation of the epidemic.

The rest of the world is in the dark about everything. The plan is to bring an atomic bomb into the nuclear plant of the city to pretend a terrible accident. No one has to know the truth.0
A commando of mercenaries is hired to do the mission. The leader is Jack Stone, an ex-soldier now in jail for murdering his brothers in arms during a mission. If he accomplishes the mission, he will be free. The battle is on. Hordes of monsters against a bunch of men. There is no hope.

Btw has anyone seen Uwe's Aushwitz film ? Is it out yet ? It looks a big old tacky piece of explotative goodness. Hmmmm.

Demonica Snuggles Up With Indie Maverick Douglas Conner

I'm back babies and this time nothing is going stand in my way when in comes to delivering you all the latest and greatest in independent sleazy entertainment new , reviews , and candid nude pictures of the royal family( except Kate, gross ). Today I have scored for you an interview with a very, very talent man who works flawlessly in many different areas of the film production process. So come in , sit down , take off your bra if you'd like and ENJOY

Douglas, thank you so much for taking the time to sit down with lil
ole' me and talk film and the film production process that goes into
it. Here we go , this gunna be a shitload of fun! :)

Thank you for having me Demonica!

How did your love for obscure and abnormal entertainment develop?
Did it start early with all those whacked out kids shows they had when
we where younger ? (i.e H.R. Pufnstuf, Today's Special, Monsters).
What are some really fucked up shows from your youth that helped shape
your love for obscure gems?

I would say my love for the genre began very young. As a kid, I loved
Ghostbusters, and Beetlejuice (movies / cartoons). My parents used to
tape a lot of movies off of Showtime and HBO. One day after
Ghostbusters 1 and 2 played another film that they had taped came
right on after and I blame the opening scene for my madness! I was 3
1/2 years old, It scared the daylights out of me and I loved it! The
film was Brian DePalma's "Body Double". In the opening scene, we see a
graveyard and then slowly go underneath where we see a man laying in a
coffin. The camera then pans to his face, when he turns his head
really fast and growls! I never saw the full movie until many years
later. This scene always stuck with me and DEFINITELY shaped me and my
love for horror!

Did you always have a desire to work in film behind the scenes as
an editor and producer?

When I was younger, I was pretty set on being a Special F/X guy. I
even went to a couple F/X camps my parents signed me up for and loved
the experience. Over the years I have become more of an editor, actor,
and now even a producer. It's been a great ride so far getting to do
so many different areas in this line of work. I feel I am truly
blessed. I have a great family who is very supportive of me and my
friends!

How did your desire to work with film transition into an acting career?

My mom has always asked me, why aren't you an actor? I never really
saw myself as an actor. I was the guy that wanted to do the effects
and make the films come alive as a director or editor. It really
wasn't until Brian Dorton and I met that I ever considered acting. He
approached me to play the character of Melissa Couch. Getting all
dressed up and becoming a character, felt so natural. It was now my
job to take this character from a script and make it something
wonderful. I had to find all of these different characteristics that
felt right and mold them. The way she would speak, her walk, her
facial expressions, and most importantly how I feel this character
would react to some of the situations she has been placed in. I love
acting and really want to get into it more!

I LOVE the character of Melissa , what was the inspiration for the
character? How did Katrina and Melissa come about?

Ohhhhh! Everyone loves Melissa! Melissa and Katrina were supposed to
be used once and then we would move on to something different. People
instantly wanted more from these characters. Brian Dorton and I
thought about it for a while and then finally decided to give the
characters more room to grow. We are very happy that people love
Katrina and Melissa and their crazy adventures!

You and Brian Dorton have had a creative relationship that
continues to this day. How did this come about?

Brian and I met in 2005, we both live in Louisville, KY. We have
certainly grown over the years as a great, hard working team. He is my
best friend and together we have created over 40 short films. We are
now expanding our horizons and moving foward into full length films.

What are some truly sleazy films that have inspired you to
continue to work in the industry?

Well I would have to say hands down the very first horror film I ever
watched all the way through was Tobe Hooper's "The Texas Chain Saw
Massacre" from 1974. This movie scared the crap out of me. From it's
truly creepy and morbid opening scene to the final climax of Sally
running down the driveway screaming and climbing into the back of the
pickup truck always stuck with me. What inspires me the most with
"Chain Saw" is that they did SO MUCH with SO LITTLE. Plus the film is
so gritty and raw. At times, you actually think what you're seeing is
real. Some other truly sleazy films that I love and have inspired me
would be "PIECES" from 1982. I remember renting this movie at my local
video store, the cover alone sold me! From it's opening scene, to the
now famous "BASTARDS" moment, to it's final shocking conclusion, I
loved this movie. It inspires me the most with all of the over the top
kills and it's use of humor. "The Evil Dead" from 1981 is pure genius
on Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell's part. It's one of the best video
nasties of all time. Again, like "Chain Saw" they did so much with so
little. Putting friends in a cabin and making a movie that can truly
scare us and disgust is definitely a plus in my book. One of my
favorite "so bad, it's good" films would be "Don't Go In The Woods...
Alone!" from 1981 directed by James Bryan. This movie is so CAMPY and
GORY that it can't be missed. I'm never sure whether he was trying to
make a straight foward horror slasher or a horror comedy. The comedy
that comes from this film, is mainly the actors and actresses
involved. From the cheesy dialogue to the random use of music that
plays with each kill, this movie ranks high for me. I'm not exactly
sure what it is about this film that makes me love it so much. I
highly recommend it! Other none "horror" films that I love would be
"Pink Flamingos" from 1972, "Female Trouble" (1974), and "Desperate
Living" from 1977. What do these 3 films have in common, JOHN WATERS.
I absolutely adore Mr. Waters for his films and the characters he has
provided us with. Divine and John both grew up together, being best
friends and making movies. This has truly inspired my life completely.
Doing what you love with friends and making a dream come to life.

Melissa has green hair. I have to know does in your opinion does
the carpet match the drapes or is she a victim of a vicious stylist?

Yes they match.

Do you think that you and Brian will ever expand the Melissa and
Katrina characters into a feature film?

Well I like to think of "Trashology" as a Katrina and Melissa feature
film. Their segment is called "Divine Bitches" where Melissa and
Katrina are going around and killing sex-offenders. Yes, the movie is
made up of 3 stories but at the center core of it all is Melissa and
Katrina doing what they do best.

Was "SMOKERS ANONYMOUS" your first film as an editor with Brian?

"Smokers Anonymous" was not my first editing job with Brian Dorton.
Our first movie was a little thing we slapped together called "BLOOD
REVENGE" which looking at it now isn't much. It was fun and a learning
experience for us both. "KILL CECILE" is my favorite editing job, I'm
most proud of that short.

Do you prefer working behind the camera as an editor/producer or
as an actor? Do you see yourself branching out as a director of
feature films?

I really do enjoy it all. Truly. I'm Brian's go to guy when it comes
to editing and I enjoy it. I would like to do more acting thou. I
think I'm getting better with each role I take on. I would love to get
into serious acting - a drama for example. Brian and other's have
encouraged me to write and direct. I think with time I will. I am
currently working on a couple different scripts, one for a feature
film and a couple of shorts.

The short films that you and Brian have worked on as well as the
upcoming "TRASHOLOGY" seem to pay a huge tribute to the early films
in John Waters career. In my opinion you both have succeeded
where many have failed in creating films that genuinely resemble the
look and feel of those classic films from the 70's and 80's. Was the

homage intentional ?

Well first off I would like to say thank you Demonica for the
compliment. Yes, it's intentional. We all love John Waters and his
films. I love that this man, made a name for himself. Taking very
little and making cult classics. I really admire that.

Can you tell me a little about your role in the upcoming "TALES
OF POE"? I hear it puts a little bit of a gay spin on a classic tale?

It was a great pleasure to finally meet and work with Bart Mastronardi
and Alan Rowe Kelly. "Tales of Poe" is going to be amazing! I can't
wait to see the finished film. Brian Dorton, Rodney Horn and I all
travelled to New Jersey/New York to be apart of this amazing film. Our
parts were small here but I was just so happy to be apart of it. I
would love to work with both Bart and Alan again in the future. They
are both wonderful, creative, and supportive filmmakers and I look up
to them both! Thank You. TALES OF POE official LIKE page on facebook:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tales-of-Poe/198251596914233

Another film that I am REALLY eager to see is "MOTHER'S BLOOD".
What is your role in that film ? Can you tell us a little about the
project?

My friend Rodney Horn landed the role as the gypsy in the film. I am
so proud of him. Rodney takes on the toughest role in the film and
takes on many faces which required a lot of costume changes, hair and
make-up. There is a fan page on facebook for the film where you can

get more info. I am one of the executive producers and I believe I
have one brief scene.

James Cullen is a good friend of Demonica and The Trash Compactor
. A little birdie tells me that you are contributing to his upcoming
anthology film "Theater Of Derange". Can you tell us a little bit
about that film and what we can expect from the segment?

Our segment is called "DOLL PARTS" which is in the vein of movies like
"Maniac" and "Muder Set Pieces". The story revolves around a troubled
kid, that grows up and begins to kill people. I don't want to give
away to much so I am stopping there. Our friend Dustin Ferguson
(writer/director of "Terror at Black Tree Forest") came all the way
down from Nebraska to be apart of this film. Brian Dorton is the
writter and director of "DOLL PARTS".

Tell us a little about your involvement with Brian Dorton's
upcoming remake of the classic trash film "CRAZY FAT ETHEL". What can
we expect from this remake that may put a fresh spin on the story?

Brian Dorton's script is amazing. He really captured the iconic
moments from the original and also makes new ones. My involvement with
Brian's "CRAZY FAT ETHEL" remake will involve me playing the character
of "Drake" and as the films editor. I am really excited about this
project. Linnea Quigley has recently joined our cast, she will be
playing the character of "Pam". The wonderful Alan Rowe Kelly is also
starring as Ethel's aunt "Joyce". Stay up to date with this project by
clicking LIKE on our official page on facebook:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Crazy-Fat-Ethel-2012/205755776130113

What are some other upcoming projects that you have on your plate
that you would like to let us know about?

The script I am currently working on is a drama/suspense. I have been
talking to my friend and actor Michael Partipilo about playing one of
the lead's in the film. Michael is based in Chicago. He has also
showed a lot of interest in the writing of the script. Michael is a
great guy and I'm really excited about working with him on this
project. The story revolves around the characters of "Michael" and
"Darren" who are a couple. Michael has been very open to the project
and really wants to be involved.

I would also love to give two shoutout's to Anthony G. Sumner and the
wonderful and talented Deneen Melody! You can find them both on
Facebook.

Anthony is a great person and friend. I am so happy I have become
friends with him. His recent short film "LEWIS" was AMAZING!!!! Also
checkout "SLICES OF LIFE" which is now on dvd.

Deneen Melody:

is such a sweetheart, talented, and beautiful. Deneen and I have
become good friends. I hope to travel to Chicago soon to meet her,
Anthony, and Michael Partipilo. You can find Deneen in both "LEWIS",
"SLICES OF LIFE", and now the new show "THE PLAYBOY CLUB" on NBC. I am
so very proud of her

And of course since this is THE TRASH COMPACTOR. What is your
favorite "sleaze" scene in film history, in any genre?

I would have to say my favorite "sleaze" moment in film history would
have to be the opening scene in "PIECES". The way the mother comes in
all nice and then totally goes off her rocker and then her son
murder's her with an axe. CLASSIC!

Thanks Douglas!!!!!!!!

Backwoods Director David C. Hayes Helps Demonica Embrace Her Inner 300lbs Transvestite

k

I've never really been the kind of person who gets involved with other peoples business, not my thing. Once  the woman who lives in the room directly below me let out a blood curdling scream , I chose to ignore it. Later on that evening I found out that the woman had been the victim of a brutal rape and murder. If I had called the police five minutes earlier they would have been able to save her life. I will admit that it may have been a bad judgment call on my part, however the women did dress in skimpy clothing and keep late hours at the local corner store. It was bound to happen sooner or later, calling the police would have only been delaying the inevitable. The point I'm trying to make , my dear readers is this ; If someone is a slut and dresses as such let them get physically and sexually assaulted , it bound to happen sooner or later.

On a much lighter and much more sexually alluring note I have with me today an interview with one of my idols within the underground films industry , David. C Hayes. Mr. Hayes created what I believe to be one of the best low budget sleaze films in the past 10 years , Backwoods , as well as several other juicy and eye catching titles. Below you can read about Mr. Hayes thoughts on sleaze cinema and hear him discuss some of his upcoming projects, one of which is a sequel that I am very pumped for. So sit back , unbutton that blouse , roll down those knee highs, and ENJOY !!

Have you always had a love for the art of  " Trash Cinema " ? What are some of your early influences as a director ?

I think I have. As a wee lad I distinctly remember watching the b-movies. I was haunted, for years, by a film I only say a part of. A man was quartered by four horses and came back as a blue-faced corpse. It was terrifying (that is what they used to show on TV in the seventies). I eventually found out it was called The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism with Christopher Lee and recently watched it again. So good, so moody. Things like that have had a huge affect on me. The early Universal stuff, Hammer and even some early Troma are all things I point to.

You seem to have a genuine love for low budget cinema , for instance your film Return to Yucca Flats : Desert Man Beast is a tribute to the classic film by Coleman Francis. In all honesty I think you did a good job of capturing the style of the original without going overkill. What are some of you favorite films to emerge from that era when trash cinema was king  ( 50's -60's) ?

Oh geez, I love the work of Ed Wood. I even wrote a book on him, Muddled Mind: The Complete Works of Ed Wood Jr. that is still in print I think. I get check for $4 every few months, lol. I love William Castle's films, Russ Meyer, HG Lewis (especially 2000 Maniacs). I think the 70s were a high point for exploitation, but the ground work was laid here. I would even throw Alfred Hitchcock in as a master exploiter. Rear Window is one of my favorite films of all time. I eventually grew a little and became a child of the slasher era.

Have you always had a desire to craft and create films ? Did you go to film school ?
I think I did, but I'm more of an overall storyteller. I don't care what medium (fiction, comics, films, etc.). The story is important to me. I went to film school for 2 semesters... so that may explain things.

Tell me a little how The Rainbow Avenger developed and was eventually used in the anthology Boxer Shorts.
From those two semesters came The Rainbow Avenger. It was a student film and the first silent, black and white gay superhero epic that I know of. I was working for Spectrum Films when they were releasing Boxer Shorts and successfully lobbied for its inclusion on the DVD. We started to serialize The Rainbow Avenger in Queerbait Comics #2 but artist issues have stalled future episodes.

What are some truly "sleazy" films you have loved that have eventually inspired you to create horror films ?
Sleazy, hmmm. The aforementioned Dr. Sadism, of course. How about: I Spit on Your Grave, Orgy of the Dead, anything Naschy, Freaks... so many out there. The Blood Trilogy from Lewis is another good example.

Who are some of your personal favorite " sleaze " and  " trash " directors that have heavily influenced the decisions you have made with your films ?

The one I haven't mentioned yet that had a profound affect is John Waters. I watched Desperate Living in a film course in college and have been hooked ever since.

Within the last 5 years what's the last GREAT trash film you have seen ?
Excluding my own? Hmmm. How about Eric Stanze's Scrapbook. I love his work.

First off I have to let you know that hands down Backwoods is one of my favorite low budget films. EVER. It is funny, loud ,obnoxious , and nasty. Everything I like in a man. How did this project originate and develop into what it is ?

It started as a drunken bet between Lord Andrew Blackhawk and myself. We gathered a bunch of friends and went into a Chicago forest preserve with some cameras. The script was quickly thrown out the window and, ta da.

It's always fun to put on a skirt and throw some fake blood around. Any Chance we might see our favorite transvestite ass baby back on the screen anytime soon ?

I think you know the answer to that. Still hush, hush, but Back Woods 2: Mama's Beefbilly Jamboree is currently in post production.

The special effect in Backwoods where Luther springs forth from his mama's butt always gets some GREAT reactions from friends and family. How was that scene created ?

With seven dollars, a plastic butt from Spencer's Gifts and no brain filter.

Can you tell us a little about your production Company Abnormal Entertainment and how it was formed ? Do you mainly distribute your own films or do you also distribute other productions ?

We don't usually self-distribute. And by we I mean me and by boys Kevin Moyers and Jeff Dolniak. We're so fly by night sometimes we forget we have a company.

You have done almost more work in front of the camera as behind. Do you prefer the work as an actor as opposed as to being behind the camera or writing screenplays ?

I enjoy it all, but screenwriting is my love. All writing, as a matter of fact. Acting is fun and people pay me to do it, so that is cool and I think directing is a good time, but crafting the story is where it's at for me.

Can you tell us a little bit about Sinister Visions and Crushed Velvet two of your upcoming projects ? How are you involved in these films ?
Sinister Visions I don't have much to tell yet. Crushed Velvet, though, is fun. It's a semi-futuristic take on reality television after censorhip has been removed. I co-wrote the script with director Brian Skiba and appear in the film. It is pretty bad ass, if I must say so.

You also work very actively in the comic book field I am very , very fond of you Rotentail comics. Any chance of us seeing anymore adventures with the character ? Maybe a movie adaptation ?

From your mouth to the movie gods ears, please! I like Rotty. Helluva a guy. We're working on getting the trade paperback up and running right now through Creators Edge Press.

I also hear you teach at a University as a professor. Do you ever get recognized by your students as Luther or from any of your films ?

Only once. It was horrifying. Can you imagine Luther teaching you English?

Can you tell me a little about your role in Lance Polland's ( Slices) Crack Whore ? That one sounds especially juicy.

Not too much, but suffice it to say that Lance is as depraved as the rest of us. A good deal of the Bloody Bloody Bible Camp cast and crew were involved so that speaks volumes.

Any advice for up and coming indie directors on how to get their sleazy visions on the screen at all costs ?

Never give up. Oh, and if your parents think it is an awful idea, they are probably right. That just means you're on the right track.

Since we have been under the remake craze for several years now , any chance David Hayes could remake a good ole trash classic  for a new generation ? What would be something if anything you would be interested in developing ?

Wow, what a tough question. I think I would want to remake something that failed on some level. Where the point was missed or there could be a new, modern social question answered. I really want to do a sequel to Pieces, but that isn't the question. I would go with remaking Dr. Sadism. I'm emotionally invested and the themes of loss, vengeance and a complete lack of moral terpitude would play great today.

19.) What are some of your other upcoming projects that you can tell us about ? Give us a little taste !

Right now? Not much. We've got The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell, Ron Atkins new feature, coming out on August 31 where I play John Wayne Gacy. Predatory Instinct and Little Big Boy drop on DVD on September 6. For all you Michiganders, I'll be appearing at the Flint HorrorCon on 10/29 and the Long White Box Convention in Taylor on 11/12 and 13. We're still waiting on a release date for Bloody Bloody Bible Camp. Fiction-wise I've got a story in the upcoming Help! Wanted anthology from Evil Jester Press and Tales of Terror and Mayhem from Wicked East Press.

And since this is The Trash Compactor , what is in your opinion the " sleaziest " scene in cinema history in any genre?

I would have to say the cunilingus scene from Desparate Living. "Hit it Peggy! Hit it!" Depraved.

Oh my , what a man. I must say that conversation got me all pumped up to strip down to my panties and skip around the forest covered in the blood of virgin sheep. Anyone care to join me ? Well I hope you all enjoyed this exciting bit of journalism and keep a look out for more on Backwoods 2 as it develops, as well as many of the other projects Mr. Hayes has in development. Until next time.....

What do you say , babies ?

Demonica Goes CRAZY Over Indie Director Brian Dorton

l

Last evening , I saw for the very first time what you may refer to as a " roughie"
film. The Film was about a young girl who was whisked away from her quiet suburban family and taken to a house of very ill repute , forced into a life of drug addiction and naked lesbian spankings. One dark and gloomy night the girl manages to escape from the wicked lifestyle she has been enslaved in , only to end up at a Piggly Wiggly stocking canned meats and medicated ointments. I , Demonica Vansant , have learned my lesson. Always trust the values and morals taught to you in sleazy movies and always take money if no one is looking or if they are blind and can't run.

Brian Dorton is one of the most ambitious and creative talents working in  underground cinema and specifically the genre of " trash " cinema and the art that surrounds it. Mr. Dorton has been working his tight little ass off on numerous projects and assuming many roles both in front of and behind the camera. I had the pleasure recently of sitting down with Brian and got the chance to ask him about some of his wonderful short films as well as his upcoming remake of a truly sleazy little classic. Below you can read all about Brian's thoughts and view on the art of trash film production and much , much more !! ENJOY!!!

Thanks Brian for taking the time to sit and talk to this simple country virgin ! Here We go !

Welcome to the Trash Compactor Mr. Brian Dorton. I must start by asking how you developed a love for off the wall trash cinema?  Whats your first memory of exposure to this art form ?

I would definitely have to say John Waters stuff, and although I saw films like "Hairspray" and "Serial Mom" before I ever saw his early 70's works.. I certainly dig those older trashasterpieces more! In the early 90's "Serial Mom" was one of my first memory's of good trash cinema.

You appear to have a genuine love for obscure films Kill Cecile for instance is like a molding of early John Waters and 70's road movies on a low budget. It's like in your face anarchist trash cinema. Where did the idea concept and look of the film originate ?

We shot "Kill Cecile" in May of this year, the idea was to do another Melissa and Katrina film. Whenever you write you always know that on the set you will add things and we did that a lot with this film. Although the story of the two characters began in late 2007, people continuously ask Douglas Conner and myself "When will there be another Katrina and Melissa film?".. We originally never planned to bring these characters back over and over in the beginning. Adding the subplot with the Beth character played by Rodney Horn came towards the end of May when I felt the short film need to be longer. I think it became something bigger than any of us expected. It was semi-popular on Youtube and was an official selection at the LGBT film festival here in Louisville, KY., which is the only fest we submitted it to so far. So I am pretty proud of this little gem.

I love the way your short films have kind of a hand held grimy vibe to them. Did you attend film school or were you self taught ?

randomFILMS was created nearly 4 years ago by Douglas Conner and myself. With the nearly 40 short films that we have made since randomFILMS began.. it's taught us more than any film school could ever dream to teach.

You must tell me HOW you came up with the concept ( in Kill Cecile) to feed the cat via regurgitation. I must say that is a classic scene in my opinion.

I have a million odd things like that pass though my head a month.. that particular one stuck and I put it in my next script. The idea of this strange character and her adopted cat and feeding it how birds feed there young is just something that you will either be disgusted by or completely fall out laughing over.. and I hope to achieve either of those reactions with my films.

Douglas Conner has appeared in everything you have done and co stars with you in Kill Cecile and Sex , Lies , and Melissa. How did this creative team develop over the years ?

In 2005, Douglas Conner and I met. We instantly recognized each others love for film. We made our first short film, which I dare not mention but at the time we thought it was great! We continued to make short films and they got better and better. We upped the ante in 2008 with a short called "Crazy Fat Melissa" a film we did back before we knew about copyrights on music ect., so we used all kinds of music without permission. Lesson learned, but we still enjoy that little spoof.

What are some truly trashy and " sleazy " films that have inspired both the look and direction of the films you chose to make as a director ?

Some of these aren't really trashy (some are) but here goes: Heathers, Serial Mom, Female Trouble, Desperate Living, Beetlejuice, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Private Parts (not the Howard Stern film, although I do like that too), and yes.. Pink Flamingo's ..even though the shit eating scene is a bit much.

Who are some of your all time favorite " sleaze"  directors that have inspired you to make films ?

Waters (of course) are there others? Just kidding. I do find inspiration in other filmmakers that may not be considered trashy or sleazy.. like Tim Burton's earlier stuff, I love Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan / Requiem for a Dream), .. I even enjoy Woody Allen's work, and one, if not my favorite filmmaker is Scorsese.

What was the last " great" trash film you have seen. Released in the past 5 years ?

I'm going to go with "Girls Will Be Girls" because it was so funny and trashy at the same time!

I must say as far as a director you are in all honesty the closest I have seen to a modern take on the John Waters formula of trash art. Do you believe that bad taste is a true art form in our society ? Does it still appeal as much today as it did in the 70's and early 80's ?

I think it is extremely appealing today! Many of John Waters fans are in their 20's and 30's so that in itself says a lot. Younger people embrace these trash-art films. I take it as a big compliment to be mentioned in the same sentence as Mr. Water's, he has paved the way for me and other filmmakers like myself.

Are you more comfortable behind the camera directing, producing, ect. or do you prefer working as an actor i.e Kill Cecile ?

I originally only appeared in my films because I didn't have other actors. We had to do it all ourselves. I am pretty comfortable doing anything involving the film industry. If I like the project, I devote myself to it.

Can you tell me a little about how you became involved with Tales Of Poe and your role in that film ?

All I will say is that it was a great pleasure and quite an adventure for Douglas Conner, Rodney Horn and myself to be involved in Bart Mastronardi's and Alan Rowe Kelly's amazing project. Our parts were small here but it was a great experience all the same and I know the film is going to be great!

Can you also tell me a little about Mothers Blood and your role in that film ? The synopsis sounds awesome very excited about that one.

I am excited to see Rodney Horn as the gypsy in the film, Rodney takes on the toughest role in the film and takes on many faces which required a lot of costume changes, hair and make-up. There is a fan page on facebook for the film where you can get more info. As far as my role in the film, I am one of the executive producers and I believe I have like two brief scenes.

From a director and producer standpoint how difficult is it to get an independent film financed in these times of economic decline ?

My advice is find talented people, network and get a camera! You gotta just do it! No one is gonna do it for you.. If you get fun and talented people in the beginning that love to do this shit, they will do it for free to get out there! I have worked extremely hard to even get this far, which isn't very far at all but I am doing what I love. I don't care about popularity, I care about the work.. if you produce good work popularity will come automatically.

It has become a trend ( which I like ) to remake obscure as well as well known horror films . What is your take on this trend ?

There have been good and bad remakes so I'm all for it. I mean people that say the remake ruined the original for them are idiots. I mean does the original now take a different form because there is a reboot? If you hate a certain remake I think you should love the original even more!

What are some films which you think could use a good ole fashioned kick in the ass reboot ?

Private Parts (1972)
Criminally Insane (1975)

..which brings me to an upcoming film of mine.

What are some upcoming projects that you have going on first as a director and also as part of the creative production process ?

I recently got the rights to remake "Criminally Insane" aka "Crazy Fat Ethel" ..we will be using the "Crazy Fat Ethel" title.. I honestly like that title better. It has more of a grindhouse sound to it! We are in early pre-production now, casting and developing crew. Alan Rowe Kelly, Kim Sonderholm, Shawn C. Phillips are amongst the cast so far. I have approached some others and we are still looking for the right fit for Ethel. The facebook fan page has more details.

What are some acting roles that you have upcoming ?

Well, this allows me to talk about another upcoming film that is nearly 50% complete. It's called "Trashology", its stars myself, Rodney Horn, Douglas Conner and Angie Keeling who played Cecile in "Kill Cecile". Many of us play multiple roles in the film and it is a huge tribute to John Waters! I think people are going to enjoy it. We did a scene the other day where Angie was so funny that Douglas and I kept busting out laughing so hard we ended up doing like 6 takes. There is a fan page on facebook that is loaded with pictures and info.

Is there any advice you can give actors who strive to make it primarily in the obscure film industry as opposed to mainstream ?

Start making short films where ever you are and keep putting them out there. Submit to film festivals.. we live in different times, you don't have to be mainstream to show what you got.

1 Any advice you can give indie directors on promoting or gathering awareness about projects both completed and upcoming ?

If it's good people with notice.

And of course since this IS The Trash Compactor , What is your favorite " trashy " scene in film history thus far in any genre ?

I'm going to just say what came to mind and that is the scene in "Female Trouble" when Divine births her own baby on a dirty old couch and bites the umbilical cord. Wow!

Maybe not the actual scene. But it's the fucking theme song !!
